
Lopön Robin Gayle
Lopön Robin Gayle, PhD, MDiv, MFT has undergraduate and graduate degrees/publications in theology, psychology, and east-west studies. She is a Tara Mandala authorized Feeding Your Demons® psychotherapist in private practice in California and Colorado. She is a former Dean, Chair, and tenured Professor of Counseling Psychology at Dominican University of California. She currently serves as a Research Scientist for the Center for Contemplative Research in Colorado, and as the Resident Teacher at White Jewel Mountain Retreat Center in Colorado in the absence of Adzom Gyalse Rinpoche.
Her interest in Buddhism began in 1986 with teachings and an empowerment by Geshe Ngawang Dhargyey, followed by Kalachakra & Dzogchen teachings by H. H. Dalai Lama, Longchen Nyngtig, Rinchen Terzod, and Kamma cycles with Ven. Yangthang Tulku Rinpoche, intensive Shamatha, Vipassana, Lojong, and Dzogchen retreats with B. Alan Wallace, and teachings and empowerments by Ven. Gyaltrul Rinpoche, Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche, Drubpon Lama Karma, and Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche.
Löpon Robin met Lama Tsultrim Allione in 1990, subsequently went on pilgrimage with her to several power places around the world learning dakini and Chöd practices, and has assisted Lama Tsultrim in numerous retreats. Robin recently completed the 10 year Gateway Program at Tara Mandala: Dzinpa Rangdröl (Self Liberation of Clinging) which consists of all the practices done in the traditional Vajrayana three-year solitary retreat but adapted for the modern practitioner living in the world.
Löpon Robin teaches on-line and in-person retreats for Tara Mandala and is a Kalyanamitra for novice Gateway Program participants.
