Kent Tompkins

Kent Tompkins, MA, LPC, is an integrative psychotherapist with more than 30 years of experience in private practice in Colorado and New Mexico. He supports adolescents, individuals, couples, and families in creating lasting change through a nondual, integrative approach that honors both practical therapeutic skills and deeper inner knowing.

Kent’s work weaves clinical depth with lived experience, drawing from EMDR, hypnotherapy, Internal Family Systems, somatic integration, wilderness-based work, and non-methodical/unified psychotherapy. His approach is grounded in helping clients reduce suffering and limitations, access clarity, and strengthen the inner capacities that already know how to heal. His undergraduate background in Talented/Gifted consulting, with an emphasis in photography, also informs his work with adolescents, encouraging natural curiosity, innocence, and the courage to explore across cultures and environments.

Nature has long been central to Kent’s own recalibration and understanding of resilience, nervous system regulation, and embodied presence. Practices such as cycling, yoga, ecstatic dance, time outdoors, world travel, and an ongoing internal spiritual path continue to shape his therapeutic presence. Guided by a deep trust in inner wisdom, Kent’s work reflects a lifelong commitment to healing, expansion, and the multidimensional nature of human experience.
