A Women’s Wilderness Retreat

This retreat will bring the spirit of Wisdom Rising, a movement started by Lama Tsultrim Allione, into the wild. Following in the footsteps of the sages of old who lived and practiced in nature, we will practice deeply, sitting under trees in direct contact with the elements, on the beautiful land of Tara Mandala.

In this retreat, we will share a uniquely feminine approach to Buddhist practice and being with nature, offering ways to help nurture your practice and reconnect with the rhythm of the natural world. A portion of each day will be dedicated to studying one of the five Dakini families of the Dakini Mandala of the Enlightened Feminine as taught by Lama Tsultrim. We will spend time practicing together and alone in nature, working intimately with the elements and natural cycles of change, as well as with dreams. This work enhances our capacity to transform core emotional patterns affecting women today—anxiety, anger, inadequacy, depression, grasping, and compulsive doing—into living wisdom.

This 8-day retreat will be self-sustaining: we will camp, sleep on the earth, cook, eat, and meet in council as a small community.

This retreat is open to all those who identify as women.

Suggested Dana: $240-$320
