Cost includes all lodging, travel, and meals starting October 22nd when the group arrives in Paro until November 7th when the group departs Paro. The roundtrip flight from Bangkok to Paro is included. Participants have to cover the airfare to and from Bangkok as well as any costs for hotels or transportation in Bangkok.

• $5,980.00. The first payment of 50%, ($2990) is due with registration. $850.00 of this is non-refundable.

Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellations must be received in writing for a refund to be issued. We recommend that you send an email to registrar@taramandala.org with the subject: Cancellation Request.

2. If we receive your written Cancellation by May 6, 2017, you will receive a full refund, minus a $850 non-refundable deposit and minus any scholarship funds donated.

3. Cancellations received after May 7, 2017 are non-refundable.

4. Cancellations cannot be accepted by phone.

In the unfortunate event that Tara Mandala makes substantial changes to the content of the pilgrimage or cancels the pilgrimage altogether, you will receive, upon your written request, a full refund.

Passport and Visa

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 month upon entry into Bhutan. Everyone must be on the same flight into Bhutan to count as a group.

All Bhutanese visas need to be processed by a licensed Bhutanese Tour Operator. Our Bhutanese partner, Tsering from Sky Travels will apply for visas for all pilgrims. You will receive a link for uploading your scanned image of the first page of your passport in JPG format (NO PDF OR OTHER FORMATS) as well as your qualification, i.e. level of education or professional training, and profession.

Before departure we will send you a paper copy of the visa. The official visa will be stamped into your passport on arrival at Paro International airport on production of your paper visa. 

Depending on your itinerary and citizenship you might also need a visa for India or Thailand or other countries you are transiting. Please make your own arrangements for these.
