Come learn about one of the greatest women Buddhist teachers from Tibet and learn her ancient meditative practice called Chöd or “Severance.”

Chöd is a unique blend of Buddhist teachings and Tibetan Shamanic practices. This centuries-old practice, which is sung and accompanied by the use of a Chöd drum and bell, is a potent method for releasing self-grasping, which the Buddha taught as the source of suffering. Machig Labdrön’s inspiring life story and teachings will also be shared throughout the course of the retreat.

In this retreat, you will learn the beautiful and concise Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Chöd, which came to this great Dzogchen Master in a dream. This retreat is open to new and returning students and is a great opportunity for those who already know the practice to strengthen both their understanding and their drumming skills.

Who Should Attend?

    All are welcome.

To prepare for this retreat, you will need:

Recommended but not required: chöd drum, bell and vajra.

The Dana for the teacher is not included in the course fee and can be given by each participant individually during the course.
