Anam Thubten will teach on the Heart Sutra, the most important Mahayana Sutra, centered around the Prajnaparamita teachings that deal with awakening to emptiness. The wisdom of emptiness is the way of perceiving all life and experience with the unconditioned mind that is not distorted by our opinions and beliefs. Such insight gives us a sense of spaciousness, freedom, and harmony. Anam Thubten will introduce methods of practicing the Heart Sutra, including chanting.

About the Teacher

Anam Thubten

Anam Thubten grew up in Tibet and at an early age began to practice in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Among his many teachers, his most formative guides were Lama Tsurlo, Khenpo Chopel, and Lama Garwang.
