Meeting the Mandala: Introduction to the Five Buddha Families

With Lama Tsultrim Allione

May 27, 2016

Date and Time Details: 7.30 pm - 9 pm

Location: Orgyen Dorje Den

Address: 2244 Santa Clara Avenue Alameda, CA 94501

The mandala path is the journey back toward recognition of the Ground of Being, and the individual practicing within the mandala imitates awareness recognizing the luminous mandalic light configurations radiating from the primordial womb as its own dynamic energy. The path of the mandala transforms obscurations into wisdom by literally illuminating encumbered patterns through sound and light, finally reaching the state where ‘other’ fades away and we return to the luminous ground and are once again in a state of wholeness. The mandala meditation returns the mind to the fundamentally luminous template of the mandala of the five families, healing the rupture from the Ground of Being. Each family has an obstructed pattern and a primordial wisdom associated with it. During this evening Lama Tsultrim will teach on the five families and lead us in an experiential journey through the mandala.
