In Kapala Training Level III we will go deeper into Machig Labdrön’s teachings and receive a profound new practice of hers.  Participants will also expand their FYD journey with collective applications of the work, and working with the demon of ego-clinging.

NOTE: All participant are expected to attend the sessions live (in-person via Zoom) rather than watching the recordings afterwards. In this case, recordings will be meant as a supplement for review after attending the sessions. However, exceptions for a specific session due to special personal circumstances may be allowed with advance notice and permission from the teacher

Who Can Attend?

Prerequisites:

  • Completion of Kapala Training Levels I and II, or FYD Online Level I and II (Buddhist Track)
    • FYD Online: Please note that only 80 hours of Prajnaparamita practice are required before attending FYD Online Level II. However, if you wish to continue with Kapala Training Level III after completing FYD Online Level II, you will need to complete an additional 28 hours of Prajnaparamita practice
  • 4 Solo Demon Feedings
  • 39 Partner Demon Feedings
  • 10 Solo Extended Ally processes
  • 10 Partner Extended Ally processes
  • 108 hours of  “Supplication to the Great Mother”
  • 108 hours of “Transmitting the Meaning of the Mother” with “Cutting Four Demons Loose into Space”
    • You may choose how much time to spend with each (Transmitting the Meaning and Cutting the Four Demons) in one practice session.
  • 200 thirty-minute sessions of Taking and Waking, or 100 hours total – You can do as much time as you like in one practice session, but 30 minutes is the minimum per session.
  • Completion of the Three Yana Retreats in sequential order:
  • Completion of Wisdom Rising: Meeting the Mandala of the Five Wisdom Dakinis or Wisdom Rising Online Course  (If you completed the Vajrayana Retreat prior to 2020, that retreat counts in place of this retreat and the entire Wisdom Rising Mandala Training Retreat series)
  • 225 hours of Mandala of the Five Dakinis
    • 30, 1.5-hour sessions with each family (5 families total), can be done in order or as you need.

In this retreat you will receive:

  • The practice of “Opening the Gate to Space”
  • Feeding Your Demons® with dream figures
  • Working with Collective Demons (Societal, Cultural, Historical)
  • Group-dynamic Demons
  • The Fourth Demon: Ego-clinging
  • Further work with Extended Ally with Journey.

Recording Access: 
All participants will have a 1-year access period to the recordings. 

What is a Tara Mandala Online Program?
Tara Mandala offers online programming via live and pre-recorded curriculum that give you the opportunity to access dharma teachings, engage in guided practice, experience personal retreat and hands-on learning, while connecting with other participants through easy-to-use online platforms and an engaged community network. When needed, the program description and schedule will inform you in advance if and when a specific online session must be attended live if a direct transmission (Tib. lung) may be given. Access to recordings of all sessions will be available for additional viewing for one year.

GENEROSITY RANGE 

Choose an amount within this range if you have the financial security and capacity to support Tara Mandala at a higher level. The contributions we receive within this range make it possible for us to offer a below-cost Access Range to those practitioners with a limited income.

  • Own your own home and live comfortably without financial worry
  • Have investments and savings 
  • Easily have access to money in times of need or emergencies
  • Have the desire to help make the Dharma more accessible to others

SUSTAINABILITY RANGE  

Choose an amount within this range if you have the financial capacity to sustain Tara Mandala’s ability to offer high-quality programs. The contributions we gratefully receive within this range enable us to keep our prices low while covering the basic program costs. 

 This range is for you if you:

  • Have the capacity to meet your basic financial needs
  • Make your rent or mortgage and other monthly payments 
  • Are generally able to purchase new items and experiences for yourself
  • Can afford to take trips and go on retreats

ACCESS RANGE  

Choose an amount within this range if you have limited financial capacity or are currently experiencing financial hardship. The contributions we gratefully receive within this range go toward covering costs and are supported by contributions of those who choose the Generosity Range.

 This range is for you if you:

  • Have difficulty meeting your basic financial needs 
  • Are experiencing housing, employment, or income instability
  • Live paycheck-to-paycheck and and lack money in times of need
  • Face challenges due to devaluation of your currency against the US dollar. 

 

Offering dana to the teacher: The practice of offering dana, which means “generosity,” is the traditional offering the student makes to the teacher as a symbol of appreciation, gratitude, and reciprocity for receiving the precious teachings.
